Healing Winds
http://www.healingwinds.org/
Healing Winds is a therapeutic riding program designed to help handicapped and developmental delayed children and young adults. It is a none-profit organization. I donate my time and massage service to help the horses stay comfortable. Healing Winds is in constant need of donations. The biggest project it faces is installing a handicap accessible restroom in the stable. This requires money and your donations will help. Your donations also goes toward caring for the horses, maintaining the stable, and running the program. I can tell you personally that the instructors and volunteers are kind hearted, hard workers, and offering up time to benefit those who need horse therapy.

Karren Hayes

Equine Care Management Educator

http://perfectstall.com/

Dr. Hayes has done a lot of research into keeping horses healthy even if they live in stalls or stables. I strongly suggest reading through her text and talking to her. Some health problems are related to flooring, air flow, size of the stall etc. Make your horse happier by reading her text and talking to Dr. Karren Hayes.

Temple Grandin wrote a book on understanding animals by addressing the science of the brain and behavior while addressing how to work with animals in a way that makes the best sense. I read her book and found each sentence to be true and full of information. Please check out her site, read Animals in Translations and quit making excuses for your animal's problems! YOU CAN HELP!

Missy helps all sorts of horses through her gentling talent. She doesn't view training as training. This means that Missy feels training should be nothing more than gentling or counseling troubled or young horses. I studied with her personally and found her instruction and techniques quite easy to use. Check out her web site!

Martin Wilsher is a blind gentleman from England. He is a good friend of mine. Martin is quite creative in his story writing abilities. I encourage people to read his stories to get an insight of animals. He has many stories on horses. Though Martin's stories are fiction he exposes you to thinking from the horse's point of view.
